Workshop Title:
Summer Dance Intensive
Ages: Completing grades eight through college, or the home school equivalent
Dates/Times: Monday – Thursday, July 12 – 15 from 1:30 – 4:30pm
Location: downstairs dance studio of CSMA, 330 East State Street, Ithaca (directions)
Fee*: $80
Clinician: Katie Lane, with special guests possible
Description: Learn proper technique in ballet, tap and jazz with an emphasis on how they inform musical theatre choreography. Extended sections of original Broadway choreography will also be a focus of this workshop. Ballet shoes encouraged; soft, split sole jazz shoes required.
Details: Enrollment in each section is limited to 15 persons. You will also be given the opportunity when you enroll to indicate if you would like to ADD ON another two weeks, running Monday – Thursday, July 19 – 22 from 2 – 4pm. If enough interest, those who wish can enroll for these additional weeks for another $125 and will have an opportunity to more fully explore ballet, tap, and jazz with an emphasis on typical musical theatre .
